Hiii,
I’ve had a lovely morning pampering myself and giving myself a full mind and body reset before going to work. Since I haven’t had a personal post in a while, I was excited to get stuck into writing about this one. The goal here is that this inspires you to take a time out and pamper yourself. You deserve it.
Step 1: Shower- The full works kind
We all know the full works shower routine; wash, scrub, shave, hair wash, mask and moisturise. I used to dread these showers, now I look forward to them! It’s not a chore. It’s literally a pamper session! Take your time. Put on a good show in the background. Enjoy it!
Shower Routine Products:
A few products I’m loving at the minute that are really making me feel luxe: Olaplex hair oil, Sol De Janerio body cream, and my shein scalp massager. My hair care routine atm is focused on keeping my hair as healthy as possible and stimulate new growth. I go to Paris in Studio Blonde for my colouring and she recommended me to dive into a full Olaplex routine to achieve this. I’m on week six of washing my hair twice per week with their no.4 shampoo and no.5 conditioner. Post shower using the no.6 and no.7 (the oil). I use the no.7 every morning before I go to work, a little goes a long way & it dries down really beautifully! Long story short, I’m loving the results! My hairs getting longer, thicker and healthier. Great vibes. I’ve mentioned before how much I love the Sol De Janerio body cream, specially the brightening cream. I used up the entire tub and changed it up with my next purchase, trying the infamous bum bum cream. It smells devineeee, a very rich and sweet scent. The results have also been beautiful, firming my skin. However, the texture is slightly different to the brightening cream and this is why I prefer it. It dries down every so slightly quicker and that for me is ideal. All in all both are fabulous products and cannot explain how much you’ll love them if you try them. Lastly, a lil guy I’ve been using for 3 years now and has traveled along with me wherever I may go is… my Estrid razor! I’m sure you’ve heard or seen them on Instagram before, the metal sustainable and reusable razor body and subscription blades. An incredible brand and brilliant for travelling with. No razor burn, bumps or irritation. Plus they are better for environment which is always a bonus!
FYI anyone at home wanting to have a look at the products here’s a link for everything I mentioned *here*
Step 2. Go all in with your Skincare
I’ve been really good over the last 3 months committing to a skincare routine and following through with it every morning. I lost a lot of motivation with it in the past but I’m glad to have my mojo back. There’s something about taking time to nourish your skin that feels so luxurious. It also makes me feel productive and sets me up for a good day ahead!
Skincare Routine Products:
These have vastly changed since my skincare routine blog way back in February! Everything is different… expect for my trusty soltan suncream of course! First step is ice rolling. It’s not a gimmick! There is studies that have shown results of ice rolling your skin can reduce puffiness in the skin! Which is why I do it every single morning without fail. I bought a $3 silicone mould from Shein and fill it with water. It’s that cheap! Next up is eye cream, toner, niacinamide serum, vitamin c moisturiser, spf and finishing off with a lovely lip mask. I’ve linked all the products, if your interested to see what I use you can click the product and it will bring you to the page. But if I can recommend you treat yourself with something a lil snazzy is probs the lip mask. It really is a beautiful lip mask and I know it’s spenny but maybe ask for it as a gift! You’ll not regret it. Also a lil tip: buy travel size skincare if you can. This way you get to sample it before committing to the full-size!
Same again, for anyone at home UK/NI you can use this *link* to have a browse at the skincare routine
Step 3. Comfy Clothes on & Grab a Book
I don’t care if it’s pj’s or sweats and your favourite cosy hoodie, comfy clothes is a must for a pamper routine. It’s just a law, I can’t explain it hahaha! Comfies on and hopping back into bed with a book. I feel like this part of the routine is something I’ve always been inspired by and always wanted to enjoy. I’ve tried reading loads of times and unless it’s a learning book of some description I just can’t get into it. I prefer movies or shows for that. I’ve been reading The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle the last 2 weeks and loving it! It’s a very grounding book. If you struggle with anxiety, overthinking or even social awkwardness, you’ll benefit from reading this. Perfect for a self care routine, the basis of the book is surrounded my learning how to tune into your Self and wake up from all the delusions in the world. I beautiful way to reset your mind!
There it is, a self care/pamper routine to reset my mind and body before taking on another week of work!
Exciting news… we’re going to Brisbane next week !!! Make sure to subscribe your email below and follow me on instagram, to see how we’re planning, what I’m packing and what we end up doing! Fun times ahead!
