Hiii,
For anyone subscribed to the emails you’ll have noticed no blogs all week… it was my scheduled reset (every 12 weeks). It keeps me motivated and gets me excited to start writing again. Fun times.
On my week off I came home to a lovely little stack of parcels and hit up a few shops. Love me some retail therapy! If you haven’t guessed already lol.
Travel Gadgets:
Kicking off with Amazon I got a few travel gadgets. A neat little <a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="http://Pink Portable Charger” target=”_blank”>portable charger that clips right onto your phone, no need for a lead. Revolutionary in my opinion. Very small and handy to throw into your bag or pocket on the go. I’ve been using it over the last 2 weeks and love it. Takes 1 hour to charge and gives your phone 1 full charge. Great find. Then we have the queen of the haul… the <a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="http://World Travel Adapter ” target=”_blank”>worldwide adapter. 1 adapter that can be used worldwide and even has usb ports. An incredible gadget to have if you travel often. One thing I will admit is a slight con is that it’s a little bit bulky… which means it can be an awkward shape to plug into the wall. If this doesn’t bother you either then it’ll become one of your travel staples for sure. I know it’s become mine.
Clothes:
I can’t lie I’m feeling weird living in Australia and it being cold. I know it’s Autumn but I really didn’t expect it to be as chilly as it is lol. On that note I needed some jeans. I’ve never wore flares. Never even considered them. I took a spur of the moment thought and took them with a beautiful relax fit shirt I had seen and tried them on. Holy shit. Where have flares been all my life?? Like sorry what?! They are the most flattering fit of jeans and not to mention why is Zara denim not talked about more? An incredibly soft and stretchy denim. If you don’t know, get to know. For anyone who cares I also bought the shirt. Beautiful. Classic. Simple. It’s my new vibe I think? Next up was a long awaited purchase. Nike dunks. Ooooooof. They are beautiful. I had contemplated buying these for probably 6 months because stating the obvious, they are spenny. I love trainers. They are all I wear. I seen this specific pair that I bought and fell in love with the colour! They are bright, fun and girly colours. Which just screams my personality. Jordan gave me the words of wisdom “fuck it” and did exactly that hahahaha. Worth every penny. Lastly I ordered the infamous 4tharq fleece… I will say I was hesitant. I had heard very mixed reviews and I’ll give my honest opinion on it. I really love it. However I can see why people don’t love it. If it were winter at home this fleece is not heavy enough to cut the crisp winter air. In Australia though, the perfect autumn wardrobe staple. Not too heavy that your sweating when your inside a building but also insulated enough to keep you cosy outside. I will definitely repurchase when they come back in stock.
Honourable mentions:
This is my little category for the miscellaneous purchases that don’t quite fit in but purchases nonetheless. Starting off with a lil fun one. I got a screen cleaner hahaha. It’s multipurpose which I love. Compact little spray bottle with a micro fibre coat on the bottle to wipe your screen with, after you’ve sprayed it. How cool! Then we have probably the best thing to come out of my May shopping… The Power of Now book by Eckhart Tolle. I had seen so many people of the years raving about it. This book couldn’t have gotten into my hands at a better time. I’m not going to try explain how much you need this book because I’ll be here all day. However, I will say one thing: if you feel lost, stuck, stressed or anxious daily. This book has helped me reduce a lot of this in just 3 chapters. Take your time to soak in what it’s saying and I can assure you, you will feel differently about life.
And that my friends is my May haul! Again I really enjoy writing these blogs and hope that you do too. I love seeing what other people spend their money on, maybe I’m just nosey lol. Feel free to subscribe your email to hear the craic on my latest travels (one coming in 2 weeks… exciting to say the least)!
CYA xx
