Hiii,
Recently I’ve been loving Sophie spends on Instagram and has very much inspired this blog! Along with some inspiration of Brianna Tata with her monthly coffee chats on YouTube where she shows new makeup purchases as she’s catching us up on her life! Love this vibe of seeing what people spend their money on but also a friendly chit chat! It’s a vibe.
Sephora & Mecca:
I mentioned in my self care day blog about my trip to Karrinyup shopping centre for a restock on skincare and haircare… here is said promised haul! To give some context to what I needed: I basically needed new skincare to help even my skin texture and haircare to help moisturise my hair. Since moving to Australia my skin has been a lot clearer than usual but the texture was getting gradually worse. Same goes for my hair, it was getting drier and drier by the day. When in doubt with skincare I always go to my friend Sarah, she is an amazing beautician with a lot of knowledge on skincare, definitely check her Instagram out! Sarah suggested that my skin was possibly having the same issue as my hair and was lacking moisture… recommending some vitamin c and hyaluronic acid incorporated into my routine. I did just that! I opted for the Laniege vitamin c moisturiser and the Charlotte tilbury magic toner which has hyaluronic acid in it. While I was in the Laniege section I noticed a overnight lip mask, I had seen all the hype around the tinted balms but not the night mask! I was intrigued so I added that to the basket too… oops lol. That was all the skincare I needed plus a little extra so I behaved and called it a day. For haircare I went back to my old faithful Olaplaex shampoo and conditioner! I have religiously used the hair cream and oil after the shower for years now, but I usually drift in and out of phases with the shampoo and conditioner. Lastly I caved and treated myself to the viral bum bum cream by Sol de Janerio. I cannot express enough how amazing it actually is… I went for the pink tub which is the brightening cream and my skin within a week of using it looks more alive than ever. Incredible stuff. Just unfortunately very spenny. That concludes the Sephora and Mecca haul!

Shein:
I haven’t placed an order with shein for a whileeee! I try to be conscious of buying clothes from smaller businesses or even eco conscious companies like depop or vinted. I can absolutely admit shein is not that by any means. However I’m not perfect and I caved because let’s be honest it’s cheaper than anywhere else. Just being real. Anyways… I didn’t bring very many casual dresses to Australia with me, hence why I needed a few for going to Bali next month! Taking into consideration the tips I learned from Mary during my colour analysis I opted for colours that compliment my skin tone and took her advice with the choice of style/ necklines. Couldn’t recommend this experience enough to anyone who is like me and struggles to know what their style is! The vibe I was going for was light, colourful and classic.

Shein Travel Accessories:
A new travel toiletry bag was needed to hold everything from skin to hair to body care. With travelling back and forward so much for work at the minute, it was getting frustrating bringing multiple bags for different things. 1st world problems, I know. I kept seeing this fold out makeup bag on Instagram reels but from Amazon. I’m sure the Amazon one is probably better quality but it was also like $40 lol. Sheins $8 one will do the trick for me. I’ve been using it for a month now and it’s revolutionary. I couldn’t be happier with it if I tried. No messy counter tops, everything fits perfectly and it’s not too big and bulky. Great purchase. On the positive note, the silicone ice mould for skincare… where has it been all my life! I’ve noticed a great change in the redness and puffiness of my skin since using it daily for the last 2 weeks. Such a simply change to my skincare but again couldn’t recommend it more. Only thing with this one specifically, it leaks. You can only fill the bottom half, but this isn’t an issue for me because it’s silicone and you can just push the ice up when your using it. Sticking with the silicone stuff, I bought a 3 pack of silicone spatulas for getting all my products out of the container and to stop me from using my fingers in my products. I’m really trying to be better with my skincare, preventing the spread of bacteria into my new products is a step in the right direction. To finish off the shein haul I thought I had hit the jackpot when I seen the $3 portable perfume bottle. Spoiler: I did not. The push spray button doesn’t click down fully, which leaves the perfume running down the bottle and not spraying. I will buy another one, but maybe next time I’ll go for a better quality one. The idea is great. Just not this one…

That concludes my April purchase! Again just emphasising that this is something I enjoy watching/reading and is why I’m doing it myself. If you also enjoy hauls like me feel free to subscribe for a new blog every Tuesday and Saturday!
CYA xx
