Hiii,
Back again with another blog about Orlando, but genuinely it get so shocked every time I post one of these and people ask me questions! It makes me so happy! I’ve gathered some of the most common questions and I’ll answer them here to keep them in the one place.
“Did you go to other parks or just Disney?”
Yes! We spent most of our time in the Disney parks, but we did spend 3 days enjoying the Universal parks too! When booking our holiday, we opted for the combo ticket with attractions tickets. This allowed us 14 days in both Walt Disney World parks and Universal. It made sense going for this ticket because we didn’t know what to expect or how much time we would want to spend in the park so it gave us a lot of flexibility and freedom to explore! For example we went to Disney’s Animal Kingdom in the morning, realised it was too hot for a park day, came back to the hotel to chill at the pool and spent the night in universal instead! I’d definitely recommend this for first timers, however I think next time we will book 14 days in Disney & opt for a 3 day pass for universal. If you love thrill rides, Universal’s Islands of Adventure is the spot for you! If your more into fun rollercoasters where the intensity isn’t too much, this is where Disney parks shine! Hope that helps figuring out where to spend your time/money on tickets.

“What time of the year did you visit? What was the weather like?”
We were holidaying in Orlando at the end of June 2022! This is summer time in Florida, which means very toasty hot temperature lol. 34°C was our daily average with very little rain over the two weeks, do with that as you will. I know that heat isn’t for everyone but generally speaking there is air con in the lines for most rides at the parks (where you spend most of your day) or in the sit down restaurants! For us we only had to completely leave the parks once because of the heat like I mentioned in the last question but on two other occasions we nipped off to a Disney Resort to enjoy the lounge and cool air! We loved the Polynesian, it’s a deluxe hotel so you can imagine how gorgeous it is. We had booked breakfast here (which btw is an absolute must), as we were leaving for the boat to Magic Kingdom, we thought it was a bit too humid for our liking. We went back into the hotel and sat in the lounge enjoying the views and air con hahaha. Disney’s Pop Century Resort was our second hotel we got to explore while in desperate need of a cool down after a long day in Epcot. We didn’t want to completely leave Disney because we wanted to stay and enjoy the water and fireworks show ‘Harmonious’! Pop Century is a quick 2 Skyliner ride from Epcot and if you haven’t already seen what the Skyliner is you need to watch this reel! They were one of our favourite memories from our trip. While in Pop we had a snack in the canteen, enjoying some chocolate chip cookies and a cold Powerade. So yeah to go back to the question the weather for us was great, sunny, hot and mostly dry! But if you don’t love hot hot weather maybe opt to go in the spring!

“Favourite day in Disney”
Extremelyyyyy tough question hahaha! I thought before going on the holiday it would have been the first day in Magic Kingdom for sure… and by all means I loved it, but not my favourite for a few reasons. Not to get into it but I was dealing with a huge personal issue and was in a lot of pain because of it… especially after the long travel day, I thought I could push through but as it turned out I couldn’t. However, on a more positive note and a week on from where we left off, I was feeling a bit better and knew my limits. We had a slow morning enjoying breakfast at iHop before going to Epcot! We got dropped off at Hollywood Studios just so we could use the Skyliner transportation to get to the park. Extra but worth it. We grazed our way around a few of the food booths in the different countries. Sat down and enjoyed the beauty of our surroundings. Had the best time on the rides, Frozen was absolutely magical (yes, I did cry lol) and Guardians of the Galaxy was just a whole vibe. It was only opened a few months when we got there so the hype around the ride was huge on socials, which made it even more exciting that day! The music, theming, staff were all absolutely on point for the experience of the ride, honestly had thee best time. Finishing off an amazing day with a special dining reservation in Space 220 (if there’s anything you do today, watch this video of what this restaurant experience is. It’s beautiful). Sipping cocktails, having great chat with my favourite person and absorbing all the details of the restaurant. Honestly if I could go back to any moment of the holiday it would be this moment! We walked out of there with full belly’s and got our space for Harmonious. The sound track of this show gets me in tears every time lol the music is so powerful and if you watch the show on Disney+ you’ll understand why! There’s so much meaning in it. Happy tears were shed and as we left we sat down to admire the glorious golf ball, otherwise known as Spaceship Earth. The gratitude of being there was at an all time high! Happy to be there, happy to be with jordan and happy to be standing. It was a beautiful day from start to finish.

That finishes our first Disney Q&A!!! Happiest girl in the world now after writing this one and reliving all them beautiful memories. Motivation to go back is at an all time high and we have actually started planning our trip back… no dates yet but we’re very keen on getting back within the next 2 years! Exciting times ahead! Life is good when Disney is involved.
