Hiii,
Alas it’s coming to the end of my lovely week off & by the time I’ve posted this I’ll be back in Kal living the glamours roller life lol.
Lemme set the scene: it’s Tuesday, we fly out on Thursday morning, we’ve had the most incredible weekend of travelling, having date nights, having lovely meals, driving around, all in all being busy! I wanted to take a day out for myself! Love me an independent girly girl day!
9am I’m in Studio Blonde with Paris getting my hair done (for the first time in 2 years… I know. I know). I finally built up the confidence to get a little trim off my hair, I found it really hard to do this because I’ve never had it so long before and usually when I ask for a trim, my hair is chopped… IYKYK. I had the best experience with Paris! She showed me how much she was cutting before she cut it, which I massively appreciated (more than words can describe). Then talked me through what we were going to do to get my hair to the colour I want! I love being blonde and if you’ve only followed me in recent years I’ve been my natural brown colour, trying to build back the condition of my hair. Essentially I want to go for a lived in golden blonde & I want to take my time building this colour to maintain as much quality hair condition as possible! I had a lovely cuppa tea & got to do some scrolling on socials & start writing some blogs while I was waiting on my hair to develop! It was honestly such a nice few hours just chilling alone in a pink and white wonderland… honestly the decor in this salon is dreamy!

Once I was finished up with my 3 hour appointment, I was starvvving. Naturally we went to Connell’s Bakery which is an Irish bakery based in Perth. Their chicken fillet rolls are unbelievable. I went for a ham and cheese toasty though because to no surprise their bread is also fresh baked and delicious!

Now that our belly’s were filled, I had some retail therapy to attend to… I actually did need everything I got for once lol. I went to the best shopping centre I’ve ever been to in Karrinyup! The only way I can describe it is that it’s so big that you probs wouldn’t be able to get around the whole thing in under 3 hours. I’m not exaggerating either. I had skincare and hair care to get topped up on so I made my way to Sephora and Mecca! I have a haul next Saturday showing you all the nice bits I’ve bought this month (you can subscribe your email if you want to see the craic next weekend!). For a lil sneak peak, I went for some boujie skincare since I hardly wear makeup anymore I thought why not! Made my way around Zara, Tommy Hilfiger and a few other clothes shops but I really can’t justify buying nice clothes at the minute while working away so much. Not complaining though!
I came home from shopping and jumped on a call with Ela who introduced me to the travel agency course I done recently! I’m not planning to create a career out of it at the minute but I’m sure you know by now I love to travel and I thought why not save some money and get educated… never know where I might end up! Essentially we had an introduction call basically catching up on life in Australia and learning about a few companies I want to book with in the near future! Life is exciting right now!

The call ended and I went home and we begun the packing process… back to Kal for 3 weeks! I can’t lie I love packing. I take such pride in it. I bought a few bits from shien to assist the organisation of my packing skills (promise I’ll show these too in my haul next Saturday). I watched/listened to Brianna Tata’s latest YouTube video while I was packing and had the time of my life. It’s the simple things!

Essentially we spent the rest of the day chilling at home. I had a beautiful 45 min shower, hair mask, exfoliate, shave, the full works. Nothing beats long hot showers. Followed by a ice cold Diet Coke and few episodes of young sheldon (which is a hilarious show! Can’t believe I hadn’t watched before now!).
I can honestly say I had such a beautiful day. From the pampering at the hair dressers, to the simplicity of having an hour of suitcase packing. I am loving all the little things in life right now and I love being this way. So if you haven’t been vibing with life recently, here’s your shoutout to go do something simple that makes you feel good. It’s good for the soul.
On that note if you enjoy reading, feel free to subscribe your email to never miss an update… travel blogs on Tuesday and lifestyle chats on Saturdays! Have a fab weekend.
CYA xx
