Hiii,
The excitement I have about life currently and the upcoming months is highhh! We are so unbelievably lucky to be living in such a beautiful country and have opportunity to travel and explore with our work having a week off every month! With all things considered and my love for exploring it’ll come to no surprise that we have some exciting travel plans… here we go:
Road Trip:
This past weekend we jumped into ‘Callie’ Camry and made a 3 hour drive from Perth to Margaret River which is simply a natural coastal beauty. Everyone at work talks so highly of this place and we just had to fit it into our schedule somewhere to see what it’s all about! We explored the Mammoth Caves which you have to see for yourself! I have no words to describe the sheer size of the cave that you’re walking through, it’s incredible. On our way back we found a beautiful cove beach! This really hit me like wow I am seeing this in real life? It genuinely looked like an edited video the bright blue and green water, the white sand… savagely stunning (you can see what I mean on my instagram here). It was only 4pm when we were leaving the beach so we spontaneously decided to go a small detour and stop by Busselton town! We walked up the 1.8k (longest) jetty in Australia and took in all the beautiful seaside scenery. I couldn’t help but keep thinking back to how much my granny would adore this place, it is very classic nautical part of the world and that is my granny’s favourite site to see! After our walk we watched the sunset and devoured some fish and chips… we didn’t realise we hadn’t ate since 9 am, hence the devouring lol. All in all I couldn’t recommend this road trip to anyone in Perth or travelling through more! Both of us genuinely had the best time and were so glad we got up and did it!

Bali:
Yes. Bali. I know. I CANNOT BELIEVE IT! May/June we will hopefully be in the beautiful tropical island on Bali… I have watched people on instagram for yearssss living their best lives on wellness retreats and eating the most beautiful whole foods in Bali. Now I’m getting the chance to experience it myself! We are planning for 5 nights during our week off & we are really lucky to only be a short 4 hour flight away. We’re not planning to have an action packed holiday, it’s more of a chill, explore at our own pace and enjoy good food kinda vibe. Obviously there will be plenty of blogs coming on our hotel, what we’re doing, pack and prep… exciting!!!
Cairns:
The home of the Great Barrier Reef! I had to draw up a bit of a list to come to a decision on what part of Australia we wanted to travel to next & we managed to decide on Cairns because June/July is a low rainfall month and the temperature is mild. This is the perfect combo for being a tourist! Seeing the Great Barrier Reef for our own eyes, getting a tour of the Daintree rainforest and taking a walk along the four mile beach in Port Douglas… dreamy. Were spending a short 3 nights here but again we have the luxury of living in Australia and having a week off every month, so we don’t feel pressured to go for a long time and do everything! Plus a little chill time after 3 weeks of 11 hour shifts is equally as important as our love for travel.
Ireland:
Hometimeeee! We are coming home for 2 weeks in September, we have a family wedding and I have some health things needing looked at & it’ll be nice seeing everyone after 8 months of being away! As I mentioned we are going to which is in Donegal, with that being said I think were going to to stay down a night or two to do some exploring since were down that way anyways. Other than that, the plan of this trip is no plans! Enjoy good company, revisit our favourite places and delve into the good home food!
Paris:
Paris is a very big maybe right now… We both agree we would love to go while we’re home and really take advantage to being close to Europe but were also unsure if we want to take time away from being at home? We have talked to our family about this and some of them want to come with us, so really we’re not missing out that much for the sake of 3 days… we think? Our plans would be one day in Disneyland of course, would be rude not to… Followed by 2 days of exploring Paris, site seeing and taste testing some French cuisine! We have had Paris booked twice and its been cancelled twice so were thinking thirds a charm? It’s not definite but it’s a strong maybe.
It is going to be a very jam packed year of travels & I cannot explain how happy I am about it all !!! In my era.
