Hiii,
I’m officially 22 and celebrating is over. I am lucky enough to share the same birthday weekend as one of my good friends from primary school and I’m even luckier to be living with her in Australia! As you can imagine the celebrating was a great time haha.
Friday:
Kicking the birthday weekend off on Friday, the 5 of us headed off to Perth Wake Park for a wakeboard lesson (or two lol). We walked in see everyone wizzing around the huge obstacle course and thought this is going to be a breeze. I can assure you that was not the case lol. It took us nearly an hour to even learn how to stand up in the smaller, less scary, zero obstacle, training area lol. When we finally got the hang of wake boarding we all had the best fun! Everyone was laughing and having the craic! After our lessons, we made use of their facilities and had a nice shower and cider before we headed home. We ended up in the local bar for a few drinks (I was designated driver so I wasn’t having a bev), the craic was great with everyone. Next thing you know were back in our house with 7 minutes to get ready until our uber comes to take us into the city for our first night out! Best believe it was a god send that I had face mist tan on my face and it was a matter of filling my eyebrows and warming my face up with some bronzer & blusher! We headed into the city to a roof top bar called ‘The Aviery’. It is so boujee. Real snazzy interior, looking out on the towering city buildings and great music. Playing all the early 2000-2010s remixes, it was a vibe. We called it an early night though and only stayed for a few to keep ourselves fresh for Saturday!

Saturday:
Saturday morning was kicked off with a lovely walk at no other but Scarborough beach. It has thee most scenic path following the ocean view from one beach to another. Got our steps in then headed for a bite to eat in ‘Ma Mooney’s’. It’s an Irish run cafe with all your home favourites! I went for a tasty chicken, stuffing, cheese and mayo panini & it was fab (as fab as a panini goes lol). Once again we ended up in the local pub to try decide on the evenings plans with everyone in the one spot & as it turns out we agreed to do separate things. The boys opted to head 3 hours north for a rodeo & the girls decided to head into the city for some cocktails and a good dance! From there the boys all rushed off to get their 3 hour drive underway and the girls scrambled to get makeup and hair done lol. An hour later we were ready to get a cocktail in hand. First stop was the ‘Royal Hotel’. This place is fancier than fancy… we were sat at a private bar and picked cocktails with our personal mixologist. Yes, you read that correctly. The 3 of us drank our first drink and had a bit of a gut instinct this wasn’t where we were meant to be lol. As it turns out it wasn’t where we were meant to be. Heading upstairs we felt more civilised in the actual bar of the hotel, where the cocktails were equally delicious! Three cocktails and a bowl of roast potatoes (don’t ask lol) later, we headed off to our next bar hop. Of course it had to be ‘The Aviery’. We loved it so much the night before that we had to go back and soak up them old school tunes once again. We danced until we couldn’t dance no more & dandered off to our final bar hop. Ending the night in a small Irish bar ‘An Sibin’. It really was a small cosy bar and supposed to have live music on Saturday nights, but unfortunately for us the six nations had other plans for us… no live music for us. That was our sign to end the night while its young and get some grub and an uber home. Fabulous vibes all night.

Sunday:
As you can imagine, not much happened on Sunday. We done some washing, ordered a subway for lunch, cleaned up the house and chilled out. Again we ventured out to be social but no alcohol involved to prevent the hangover from hell getting any worse lol.
All in all I had the best weekend for my 22nd birthday surrounded by the funniest, loving humans (of course missing my gals at home too) and I wouldn’t have spent it any other way!
‘Happy Saturday ❤
CYA x
