Hiiii,
I’m back in the blogging swing and had that buzz after Saturdays upload: February Favourites ( you can click and get caught up if you missed her).
I was recently watching Brianna Tata’s Youtube video on 23 goals for 2023 & I took inspiration from that to create 22 goals for turning 22! I never feel motivated by new year resolutions etc. so I felt way better and more confident that I would possibly see these goals through!
Let’s have at it:
- Continue journalling.
I made it a habit last year to use the 5 minute journal app and loved it! But then as the story goes, you forget one day then the next and it continues. As it stands I’m on a 18 day streak at the minute and am determined for my own joy and health that I will continue to give myself that small 5 minutes to fill it out. If you don’t know… get to know.
- Build that god dam savings.
I have worked hard over the last 4 years being self employed and building my business. What people don’t show on socials is the financial sacrifices you have to make sometime… By all means I saved hard and used it to move across the world and I’m grateful for that. However now that I’m here my focus is going back into putting some travel and rainy day money away for good measure.
- Obvs travel Australia…
Not everyday you get to jump into a 26 hour travel day to the other side of the world so I may take advantage of being this far away from home! I have a blog post in the making of my all time travel bucket list, but in terms of Oz I would love to visit: Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide! They all have so many different features and I want to explore it all while we can.
- Fuel my body.
Life threw me a few big curve balls last year and it brought up old eating habits. Overeating and binge eating. I’ve gained more weight than I’m comfortable with carrying and more importantly I’m just not happy with how I am continuing the habit. I am going to open a few books, freshen my mind on getting into the mindset of fuelling my body and start today! I’ve said it on here, so I’m accountable now.
- Enjoy having a job that doesn’t come home.
I absolutely loved every second of personal training and owning my own gym & I know for certain that I will unequivocally go back to this line of work somewhere on my life path. But, for now I want to take the pressure off my shoulder. If you run a business or know someone that does, you’ll understand where I’m coming from.
- Go back to Disney.
This could be a long shot but I would KILL to be back in the magic this year! I am always on pricing and checking out the deals, its definitely in the pipeline and I am so excited about it! I have so many blogs I want to write about Disney park tips and tricks that make the experience as amazing as ours… coming your way soon too lol.
- Find the golden blogging routine.
I love blogging, its a massive creative outlet for me! I fell out of routine a few times last year and for my own personal joy, I want to change that. Nothing sings to my soul to me more than having a routine that I am so infatuated with that I don’t even think about it… it just happens because my brain enjoys it! I have set up a new schedule on my google calendar and so far I’m vibing with it.
- Try a new activity every month.
I am a woman of comfort and I don’t often like being out of that zone. Every time I have stepped out of that zone I haven’t regretted it. I need to get my confidence back with taking risks and enjoy life to the fullest. Excited where this goal will take me!
- Go to bed and get up at the same time.
Again talking about routine but this sounds dreamy. Knowing what time your getting up and going to bed at! Getting them 8 hours precious sleep and setting myself up for a great day. Such a simple task that can change so much. Feeling old admitting my excitement lol.
- Have an emergency fund.
This is something I have had in the past but as life happens so does emergencies. My fund was used and I never got the chance to rebuild that during 21st year of life. This is something I want in place again for my 22 year old self.
- Travel home.
Yes, I’m talking about travelling again lol. But obviously I’m living away from home at the minute and it will be a priority of my own to travel home and see my family and friends again! This is down the line but going to happen before I’m 23.
- Keep my screen time below 6 hours.
This NEEDS to happen this year. I feel like such an iPad kid the fact that my screen time averages between 7-9 hours each day. That is disgusting to admit but I’m admitting it. As I’m no longer self employed, I no longer have the excuse “its for work”.
- Live my life in the present.
I’m an avid over thinker. I have been working on through journalling and different variations of therapies to get this under control. For me I am working on this so I can live my life to the fullest, because life is so short! No time for dwelling.
- 30 minutes outside everyday.
None negotiable. Vitamin D. Fresh air. Feel the elements. Sounds really airy fairy, but this makes me feel so alive. I want to spend 30 minutes each day outside thinking about myself, reflecting, going through the motions. Its a vibe I recommend everyone to experience.
- Learn how to use my camera.
I’ve had my camera since my 20th birthday and I still don’t know how to use it to its full potential. This is something that I am so inspired to do because I love photography and videography! Awww just think of the dreamy pictures for my blog!!!
- Spend more meaningful time with people.
What I mean by this is that time spent with people I care about is spent away from phones. If we’re going for food, keep the phones away until we are going back to the car. Enjoy being in peoples company instead of scrolling.
- Try a new food each month.
I am so blessed to be living in Perth! The cuisine is unbelievably diverse and have so much opportunity to explore different foods. I’m not a picky eater so this will be easy for me mentally! It’s again more about stepping out of my comfort zone and not going with the safe options. Excited.
- Enhance my content creation.
I have the absolute honour to work with bBold as brand ambassador and I hand on heart love everything about working with them. The treat me with such kindness and support and I want to be able to enhance the quality of my content to support them in return!
- Learn how to bullet journal.
Again I got inspiration from Brianna Tata’s YouTube video where she showed her bullet journalling style and it looks incredible! I want to play around with it and document my 22nd year in this fun form!
- Brush up on my Irish.
Fun fact about me, I spoke fluent Irish for 15 years of my life and slowly overtime of not speaking it everyday it started to fade away. It a strange one because I can understand people talking to me but it takes me a while to construct the conversation back again. I feel like doing an online class could help this out.
- Make 4 figures from social media;
I love blogging and I love celebrating brands I use and love. With that together I find a lovely area of the internet which is content creation for social media, showcasing these items or brands. It’s something I have always loved and love watching other people do! With being a BA for brands you make a small cut of what people purchase and from 20-21 I made more than I ever thought I could! This is a big goal but I know I can do it through being authentic.
- Buy less material things.
I DO NOT need any more material things. I have exactly enough of what I have and the only exception to this is replacing products. What I learnt when moving to Australia is that when your faced with having to choose what you’ll need to live elsewhere is much more than what you have at home.
All in all if you made it this far then I really appreciate your time. I know its a long one and a personal one but one I have really poured my heart into and enjoyed creating.
