Hey Hey,
Sooo yeah, we leave for Australia in 31 days (eeeeek it literally freaks me out every time I say that lol, but happy freakout, grateful freakout).
This by no means is advice because I am absolutely winging it and hoping for the best lol. I mean I’ve watched YouTube videos and read other peoples blogs for advice but a lot of them are backpackers or moving with a family. I’m just kinda taking some advice from each and advice from my friends who have/ are living there. This is also very out of character for me because I am a PLANNER!!! I love a good list (multiple at that), I love an itinerary with the exact layout of my travel day, I thrive off knowing exactly what to bring etc. In this case I’ve really had to do some journalling to bring the nerves down about not being in control of all of thee above. None the less, here we are and what I’m doing to move to Australia in 4 weeks:
Making lists & checking them twice:
First of all I hope you sang that while reading that lol. Serious note though I’ve made 3 types of lists… A list for admin things that must be done eg. cancel phone bill, car insurance, call the dentist, finalise paper work with my landlord etc. I have this on my google tasks, so they can be integrated with my google calendar. Very useful and I have used this method since this time last year! Second list is for things I need to buy eg. adapters, toothbrush heads, sunglasses, towels etc. These items are very random but also things that will make my life a lot easier when I get there. Last list is a packing list, I chatted about this in my Disney tips blog post and gave a free printable PDF which I will link *here*. I’m using the exact same one! I know it works and it keeps me from overpacking. Although I’m not sure if that’s possible when your moving across the world lol. The checking them twice part wasn’t just for entertainment purposes, I have genuinely altered these lists at least 3 times over the last week. Things will randomly pop into my head that I forgot to add or new admin bits will pop up and need added. Gotta be sure I have covered all areas before we leave!
Clearing my sh*t out:
Going through every drawer, file, wardrobe and box I own in my home house and have a good clear out. Everything has either been binned, rehomed, posted on vinted or been given mercy to live another year in my home lol. I have to say I’ve been very ruthless with things this time around because I’ve reached a stage in my life where material isn’t as meaningful as it used to be? If I haven’t worn it in the last year, say goodbye. If I forgot it even existed, then you served minimal purpose, say goodbye. If don’t feel a connection to it, good damn bye. As cut throat as it all sounds its been very emotional. It definitely drained me doing it because it really does take a lot out of your soul to part with things that were significant to you at a stage in your life. Although now that its been done I feel so free! The freedom that I feel since doing this, has been the self care itch I’ve been trying to scratch for a whileeee. So, even if your not moving country I strongly recommend doing this to let go of all the past life energy and focus on the present and newness ahead!
Manifesting all the higher energies:
I’m not sure if I’ve spoken in any of my blogs about my relationship with manifesting? Long story short, I started somewhat believing in it back in 2018, but never really got into it until 2021! I always heard people chatting about it and encouraging it, but last year I done my own research on it and really built the foundations of my belief in energies! Over the last three weeks a lot of chaos has ensued on my life… for real I literally cannot to begin to describe how upside down my life has felt. Multiple meltdowns and comforts from my near and dear later, I put the head back down to focus on gratitude and manifesting the next chapter of my life. I use an app called ‘5 Minute Journal’ and it my holy grail! It sends me a reminder every evening at 8pm to fill in my 3 prompted questions and my affirmations of the day. Gratitude journalling is something everyone should have in there life because its not about believing in something, its simply reflecting on your day. It helps me keep tabs on how I’m feeling and find the good in each day. It’s very refreshing both mentally and emotionally. If you’re interested in affirmations, I base mine around welcoming higher energies into my life like guidance, love and abundance around many different things. Then if I’ve seen some angel numbers that day I will also include some affirmations from what that number means (you can google this). I have a strong faith in everything having energy, so making sure I’m putting all mine in the right places and frequencies to leave this chaotic period of my life behind and a fresh one, is very important to me right now. I want to go to Australia and live my best life, who wouldn’t?!
So yeah, probably not the most helpful blog if your also moving countries but I’m doing this for me, as a fun timeline to look back at!
I really got a lovely buzz from writing that and has feel all the goodness and excitement I have in my life rn.
Hope you have a fabulous day!
CYA x
