Hi Hi,
Here we are again… another week on and another Weekly Digest. Buzzing about it, but also… how has it been three weeks??? Why is 2022 just disappearing?!
Monday:
Back to porridge… It’s Monday. Recently I’ve been trying to slowly remove that negative stereotype that hangs over a Monday as being blue and sad etc. But seriously it’s always the most boring day of the week. Anywaysss, I’m just complaining at this point (and negative thoughts = negative actions = negative feelings & this is not the vibe were manifesting). Coached my am clients this morning, then came home to get stuck into more admin. I feel like since starting the Weekly Digest I’ve realised how much admin I actually do *patting myself on the back for that*. Admin for the gym usually consists of keeping up with receipts, miles, sending invoices, replying to emails, currently programming for a fun project coming in the new year, designing a website (also coming in the new year), trying to organise a Christmas party, keeping in contact with Kinship care for what stock they need donated for the Christmas hamper appeals, the list is never ending lol. I feel like people thinking being a personal trainer is a handy job because it’s only a few hours on the floor… but there’s a mountain of background work that goes on too. Again, I digress. After admin was finished up, it was time to take the lunchtime ladies class, which is always great fun! Today there was actually only 3 of us, but sure it’s a cosier vibe. I was lowkey hoping that once I was finished coaching the lunch time class, that the rain may be stopped… I can assure you I didn’t manifest that wish lol. It was still pouring with rain… I love the cold weather and wrapping up, but I am not so big a fan of the rain. All in all Monday was a stereotypical miserable Monday.

Tuesday:
THE RAIN HAS STOPPED!!! PRAISE THE LORD!!! By god I am so thankful it stopped raining in the middle of the night because I genuinely went to bed in such a horrible mood because I was cooped up all day. I’m all for wrapping up and braving the weather but I’m already feeling mildly under the weather and with the way my immune system has been since June… I ain’t risking it lol. After work this morning I actually went on a fun day out with the Rural Women’s Project ladies (these are some of the ladies I coach outside of my own gym!). We headed to Coleraine for a crisp and wintery walk up the river Bann, squishing away on the mucky path but enjoying every second. I’ve definitely become a lot more antisocial over the last 8 months, since everything happened but it’s things like these that make being social a lot easier! Once we wandered back to the bus, we headed off to the Bushtown for some soup & sandwiches (god tier combo, I won’t hear otherwise). What a great day with great people!

Wednesday:
Wednesday mornings off are the highlight of my week! I love not having to be anywhere and being able to do life at my own pace. With that being said I got up done my physio stretching and done some light weight training (I’m praying that I don’t hurt myself going back at it, but if I don’t try I won’t know). Felt sooo refreshed being able to do what I love again even with that lingering inch of fear… it was still the best part of my week! After I finished up my session I had a lil midday self care moment: Candle lit bath, shave, exfoliate, moisturise, fresh tan (bBold super mousse for anyone who care & NIAMHGFIT for dollas off hehe), freshly washed hair and changed my bed sheets too. Productive but sooo invigorating thinking about jumping into my fresh sheets tonight ahhhh. After I had a lovely morning and afternoon, me and Oscar set off to Derry for our daily dander. I’ll be honest it wasn’t the greatest of walks and it was cut short (mr Oscar woke up and chose barking and anger this morning… we don’t love to see it). Because I had some spare time with having a shorter walk than expected I opted for a nap (my fatigue hasn’t been too bad this week but I knew I would hit a wall before work). I can confirm said economical nap, I started posting half my wardrobe on Vinted! I’ve been saying I needed to do this for months but never got around to it, so what better to do on a wet and windy winter day… Not sure how it will fair out but I’ll keep you posted!

Thursday:
So… Remember when I said I had all my Christmas shopping done? Yeah, no. I have not in fact all my Christmas shopping done lol. Me and Jordan decided we weren’t doing presents this year because were saving really hard for something very exciting for us… Then reality hit that in 4 short weeks time we wouldn’t have any presents for each other & I know that sounds incredibly materialistic and it is! But who doesn’t love getting surprised with beautiful bits (or maybe I’m just saying that to make myself feel better lol)? Anyways, I digress. We have now decided we are doing presents. Sooo, long story short I made my way into Derry today to make a start. Fairly successful for one shopping trip I must say. I know Jordan doesn’t read these lol so I can tell you what I snatched up for him hahaha. Boots have some unreal aftershave sets on offer atm, he normally wears your classic One Million or Savage but Versace had a cool set on offer & thought we could change it up this year! Then was unsuccessful in Primark & DV8, but managed to get his favourite trainers (Puma Suedes) in Sports Direct for £40!!! What a bargain?! I then dropped some of the Vinted parcels off at the post office & made my way into Starbucks for a coffee (Caramel waffle latte obvs). Here I am now blogging this exact thing you are reading and getting ready to finish up, so I can go home to get ready for evening clients in the gym! It’s been a fun day!

Friday:
HOLY SHIT!!! WHY AM I ONLY FINDING VINTED NOW??? I’ve literally had to come into derry after work this morning to drop off 21 parcels to the two collection points WTF?! I didn’t realise how much easier and quicker it is to sell on vinted than depop? Pleasantly surprised none the less. So yeah, 3 days, 21 items and £70 later isn’t bad going clothes I wasn’t using and was going to end up recycling anyways! Buzzing about it! Once we got all the parcels dropped off me and Mya took a quick nosey around the shops saying as we were in that far anyways. Nothing hugely different in the shops from the last day I was in but that was to be expected I suppose… Although in saying that Mya did manage to snap up a really fab find in Primark! It’s a coat that the sleeves zip off and it turns into a bodywarmer (or gilet if your fancy lol)! I know this was a thing in Asda last year but it was like £65 if I remember correctly and the Primark one yesterday was only £35!!! I refrained from buying anything as I literally only emptied my wardrobe out 3 days ago lol. On our way home we stopped in Tescos and B&M to collect some more bits for the Christmas Hamper appeal from donations that were given to the gym! Were now up to 174 items!!! This makes my heart so happy!

Saturday:
IT’S MY FIRST DAY OFF IN TWELVE LONG DAYS!!! Ahhh I am in such a fab mood today knowing I have no where to be over the next two days! If I want to have a date night… I can! If I want to chill at home… I can! Realistically these are probably the only two things I will actually want to do this weekend lol. How exciting hahaha. I feel like I sound old saying that… I need to stop. As you can imagine if your a consistent reader of the Weekly Digest, I’m at Portstewart currently blogging away. However, if your a weekly reader you will be surprised to hear I in fact relish in my favourite Saturday brunch (an Awaken banana bread toast with greek yogurt, berries and seeds). I opted to delve into Awaken’s festive menu and went for a chocolate orange toast instead… let’s be real we all knew I wasn’t going to stray too far from the beaten path lol. Can in fact confirm this was exceptionally tasty and festive. I will for sure be delighting myself with another before the winter season is out. However, I will always be happy to invite my tried and try banana bread back in due to time. Happy Saturday!!!

EDIT: Now fast forward to today when I’m posting this on the 14th December, this was all typed up exactly 4 weeks ago. A lot has happened and it wasn’t an appropriate time to post when this was due to be posted. Soooo hope you enjoyed this week in the life from 14th-19th of November & a big catchup blog will be posted this weekend (I highly recommend subscribing to email notifications for this one because there’s a lot of life things you might want to hear about js).
