I LOVE HALLOWEEN!!! I love the cosy vibes, crisp walks, chunky boots & all the festivities. Heres are 3 things that I am so excited to do this October for Halloween & hopefully inspire you to join in on some of the festivities too!

The number one on my list and forever will be is Visit Derry !!! I feel very lucky to live so close to Derry & that I’ve grown up enjoying the Halloween festivities here! Halloween has always been an event that Derry goes big for, so if you haven’t already spent your halloween here… Then you won’t want to miss it this year!
“The City of Bones” 28th – 30th October. I loved this illuminated walk around St. Columb’s Park and Ebrington Square last year & THEY HAVE BROUGHT IT BACK THIS YEAR!!! You can have a read through the official guide through this *link*. Basically they have lights and spooky scenes around the walk way! This is definitely suitable for all ages, no jump scares or anything very intense that the whole family couldn’t enjoy. This is open from 6-10pm.
“Carnival Parade & Fireworks” Monday 31st of October will be the main event of course… the giant parade starts at 7pm. We always stand close to the ‘City Hotel’ roundabout, here you get a great view for the parade and you’ve saved yourself an even better spot for the fireworks at 8:15pm! If you only have time for one I would definitely make your way in for the fireworks! They never disappoint.
Fun Fact- Halloween in Derry is EUROPE’S BIGGEST Halloween Festival!

What you’ll find me doing on Friday 7th of October to kick off the Halloween festivities… starting my day off with a nice autumnal walk up Banagher Dam (You can see from the picture how beautiful the path looks the whole way up, covered in fallen leaves and berries). Come home to run a nice bath with a Lush ‘Ghostie‘ bath bomb, light a candle & do a FULL skincare routine! Pop fresh fleecy jammies on, get my snacks plated up and watch… HOCUS POCUS 2!!! Does this not sound dreamy? If you happen to be free on September 30th you could do this because this is the official launch date for Hocus Pocus 2 on Disney+, however I’m working… defs would rather hold off and make a real cosy day out of it! EXCITED TO SAY THE LEAST.

PUMPKINS! The epitome of Halloween… in my opinion.
‘Fultons Pumpkin Patch & Spook Trail’ is based in Artigarvan only 20 minutes outside Derry or 35 mins if your also from Dungiven! The pumpkin patch is open everyday from October 15th-30th. I’ve never been here before but I envied everyone who went last year! From what I’ve seen and read from other people and their site which I’ve linked, there looks to be a lot more than just pumpkin picking on site. Picnic areas, photo opportunities, refreshments & of course the obvious one… getting to walk around the scenic space to find the perfect size and shape pumpkin! Review will of course be coming to Instagram… keep your eyes peeled!!!

All in all these are some of my favourites things to do, some new things I’m excited for and overall lots of festivities!
Let me know in the comments if there is any fun Halloween things I haven’t mentioned but are a MUST for you!!!
