My Top 3 Coffee Spots

We all know I love coffee… It’s a given.

Loving coffee means trying lots of different coffee shops when I’m out & about.

This post is for anyone else who loves going for a good coffee & catch-up date, grab and go for a walk kinda coffee or a sit down & work coffee spot.

Al’s Coffee- Roe Valley Country Park, Limavady

THE GOAT Al’s Coffee. 10/10. Unbeaten.

LOCATION: Perfect location at the Roe Valley Country Park in Limavady, you can enjoy the scenery from inside the cafe in their vintage style seating or outside in the big picnic tables! The interior of this cafe is beautiful & the sell lots of nick nacks too (LOL I love places that sell their own merchandise).

FOOD: Moving onto the food, I’ve eaten both their lunch menu and sampled more than a few treats here with granny… we are yet to have anything that wasn’t short of fantastic!

My Coffee Order: Iced Oat Milk Latte with 2 pumps sugar free caramel. I am aware its a hot coffee here but it just looked better for the picture lol. Granny goes for a decaf cappuccino and never has to go back for a second shot (which is usually the case with decaf coffees). On that note the coffee in here is always perfect… this is a bold statement, I know. However, its always just the right temperature, size and the coffee beans themselves taste very smooth!

Coopers Coffee- Maghera

LOCATION: Coopers Coffee in Maghera is a solid favourite of mine for a catch-up and coffee date! Again the interior to this place is beautiful and very open! I love this because you never feel like your in someones bubble and can have a little privacy when having a catch-up. Their location is based right on Main Street in Maghera making it very easy to find, however this makes parking a little tricky. Although this definitely doesn’t stop me from going back regularly lol.

FOOD: One of my favourite things about Coopers is the fact they sell Flana Bakes, these are the most delicious traybake (Hannah & I usually go for a brownie of some description, because all the flavours are amazing lol). I’ve tried a few bits from their breakfast menu, including their avocado, egg and toast. Tasty. Good portion. Quick Service. Can’t go wrong!

My Coffee Order: Oat Milk Latte with Sugar Free Caramel Syrup. I love smooth coffee, and Cooper’s is definitely smooth! But my favourite part about getting a hot coffee here is the… COFFEE ART!!! Just look at the symmetry on the picture (above), I LOVE IT!

The Bakery- Ebrington Square Derry

LOCATION: The Bakery in Ebrington is THEE BEST SUMMER SPOT!!! The location is perfect for catching up with your friends in the outdoor seating area or my personal favourite spot to stop for a bev after walking the bridges! Also just to note this is right beside the free car park at Edbrington Square.

FOOD: A large selection in the bakery from cinnamon rolls (as pictured), huge cream turnovers, the chunkiest brownies, to light French fancies, they have it all! They also have quite a large hot food selection and fresh baked bread and muffins available for lunch too. I haven’t personally tried any of the savoury options yet, as I’m still working my way through the sweet treats lol.

My Coffee Order: Oat Milk Latte, no syrups as they unfortunately don’t have sugar free (or maybe just not on the day I was there! I’m that person that will only ask once because I don’t want to be annoying lol). The coffee here is great & the offer almond, oat and soy for alternative milks. One thing that I love about the coffee in here is that it always comes piping hot! This isn’t for everyone but I love it because when I’m driving 30 minutes back home with my coffee… ITS NOT COLD when I’m driving home. Trust me I have got coffees from big chains and they are cold when I’m halfway through the drink, so this is a big win for me!

Peace Bridge- Derry
